The chamber music festival "Kammermusikfestival Markgräflerland" will now take place for the second time, from 17 to 24 July 2026 - a week in summer filled with music and culture in the beautiful south-german region Markgräflerland.

Chamber music is considered the pinnacle of classical music. In no other from can the audience experience the "conversation" between the performers in such an intimate way - a dialogue where each musician brings their own and individual part into a shared interpretation.
At our concerts, music will be experienced up close and in a completely new dimension – through a variety of concert formats such as “traditional” chamber concerts, open-air concerts, wine and café concerts, literature concerts and concerts in complete darkness.

The “Chamber Music Festival Markgräflerland 2026” is held under the motto “Timeless – The Sound of the Moment.”
Music arises in the moment and lives from the very act of playing and listening. At the same time, it reaches beyond time itself: sounds and works created centuries ago remain timeless.
This apparent contradiction is explored in this year’s festival through a variety of concerts, examining how time changes sound and what music of the moment can evoke.
